10 gallon gas limit?

So, Ja'Layne informed me that there is going to be a 10 gallon gas limit as of today. Apparently the prices are supposed to shoot up tomorrow as well. They say they are doing this to avoid a panic being created. Is this because of the hurricane? It has me a little bit worried. We know it's true, Ja'Layne's dad was only able to put 10 gallons in his truck at a Newberry gas station. So, can anyone elaborate on this?

Apparently an oil rig went down. I don't know the details though.

Hey, I actually got text messages and all of that jazz yesterday afternoon, and I thought it was one of those crazy jokes. But much to my surprise as I drove to the gas station yesterday afterschool it was a MADHOUSE! There were about 20 cars fighting to get to a gas pump at the same time. Thats when I saw the signs that read "Due to the oil refineries in Texas closing down for the hurricane that there is going to be a shortage in gas, so in order to provide for all of our valued customers we limit you to 10 gallons a car." I wasn't real sure about this so I filled up my car. Later on last night I was watching the news and the Petroleum president or something said that the gas was NOT going to go up to $5.00 a gallon, but it mgiht increase up to .50c in the next few days. This is all I know, but I figured it would help you out a little bit Nicole.
